Color Guidelines

Logo and Signature
The logo and signature must always appear in the same solid colors. Screen tints are not allowed. The inside of the tree, the inside of the shield and the signature appear in the same color. The outline of the Tree of Wisdom should be the background color. Note: there may be a few exceptions when PMS color palettes have similar values. In this case, use white to outline the Tree of Wisdom.

Color Palette
A consistent color scheme ensures that a cohesive image is represented across all DePaul communications. The following colors are used for all marketing materials. They are appropriate when developing any printed materials, advertising, Web sites or multimedia campaigns for DePaul.

Graphic designers and printers understand the codes associated with these colors. PMS codes are registered trademarks of Pantone, Inc.

The closest translation of DePaul's official colors to their Web counterparts are:

  • HTML color code for PMS 185: F10041

Use of Logo and Signature with Photo Backgrounds
The placement of the logo and signature should be in an area of the photograph where there are no distracting patterns or elements. The outline of the Tree of Wisdom should be the same color as the photograph. Note: there may be a few exceptions when the photograph and logo colors are similar. In this case, use white to outline the Tree of Wisdom.
